Hi! This is Ning Ma. I am an Assistant Professor in the Supply Chain and Information Systems Department at Pennsylvania State University. I received my Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management at the Department of Supply Chain Management, W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University (ASU). Prior to my Ph.D., I earned an M.Phil. in System Engineering and Engineering Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020, a B.S. in Engineering Management and a B.A. in Finance from Shandong University in 2017.

My research addresses the critical challenge of designing resilient supply chains for an era of increasing uncertainty. I focus on sourcing and procurement, inventory and pricing management, and strengthening healthcare supply chains. I believe complex problems demand a versatile toolkit. Therefore, while my approach is founded on rigorous analytical modeling, I also strategically draw upon data analysis, qualitative fieldwork, and behavioral studies to inform and validate my work.
